Expected Behavior
When OBS is hidden, all UI elements in Windows 11 function normally.
Current Behavior
When OBS is hidden, hovering the mouse over some UI elements will cause a spike in GPU utilisation, and the mouse movement will appear as if that area of the screen is being rendered at about 2fps. I have tested, and the lag is contained to only that UI element (e.g. a video playing on the same display will continue to play with high framerate).
The spike in GPU utilisation is not shown as coming from any of the processes in task manager. OBS will take about 7% GPU always, and everything else about 3% combined. The total will display 10%. However, when the bug is occuring the total will inextricably show 20% while OBS and the rest still only add up to 10%.
Here is a list of UI elements where this happens:
- The three dot dropdown menus in the top right of task manager and file explorer.
- The right click menu for ASUS DriverHub in the system tray.
- The windows logo on the taskbar.
- Certain other places I can't remember.
As you can see, there is really no rhyme or reason to it. I have no idea what is going on. I have plugins installed, but I disabled them and the issue still occurs. The issue occurs with 100% consistency and predictability.
