Expected Behavior

Using a key combination as a global hotkey should work even when bound to a macro key with QMK/VIA, regardless of delay

Current Behavior

If I press a key combination (e.g. Ctrl + Shift + Alt + Numpad Subtract) myself, the global hotkey works normally.
If I bind that key combo to a macro key using QMK/VIA without adding delays, the global hotkey does not work.

If I do the same to QMK/VIA but with delays, the global hotkey works as expected.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Press a key combination (e.g. Ctrl + Shift + Alt + Numpad Subtract) manually, the global hotkey works normally.
  2. Bind that key combo to a macro key using QMK/VIA without adding delays, the global hotkey does not work.
  3. Do the same to QMK/VIA but with delays, the global hotkey works as expected.
Anything else we should know?

Issue also mentioned in this Reddit post. OP seems to be using Windows, so it is unlikely a Linux problem. I have the same test setup as OP, where Discord works with or without delay, but OBS only registers with delay.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Numpad Subtract macro in OBS 32.0.2 on Linux Mint 22.2, comparing QMK/VIA output with and without delays. Review the linked OBS log and the referenced Reddit report; done means the global hotkey works with the no-delay macro as it does when pressed manually.
