Expected Behavior
Replay recording should record quietly and save video when I tell it to
Current Behavior
Replay will function as expected for about 30 minutes before throwing an unspecific error message and causing OBS to get stuck in "stopping recording" until force closed with task manager. Behavior also exists in safe mode.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open OBS
- Add a Game capture instance (unsure if actually required)
- Start replay (I was also running Battlefield 6 during this because thats what has been running every time I crash)
- Wait ~30min
- crash
...
Anything else we should know?
Additional processes of note: I am running Nvidia Broadcast, Battlefield 6 (game being recorded), and teamspeak 6.
Hardware oddities: I have a dual GPU stack in this machine. Primary GPU is an AMD 7800xt, secondary GPU is an Nvidia RTX 3070ti. Recording settings were directed to use NEVNC H.265
Possible related bugs: despite having broadcast installed, I cannot use the broadcast filters on my microphone and there are several "invalid option" messages in the log for NVENC

Research direction
Start with the OBS Studio log at https://obsproject.com/logs/yS9RsiZpzXtuOIOr and the reported replay-recording steps. Compare the failure after roughly 30 minutes with the dual-GPU, NVENC H.265, Battlefield 6, and Nvidia Broadcast conditions, including the log's “invalid option” messages. Done means the failure is reproducible and its cause or required diagnostic information is identified.
