Expected Behavior

It should let me pick the second monitor.

Current Behavior

When i pick the monitor to capture, it just picks the first monitor and ignore my selection.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Have three monitors
1.. First one is (in my setup) on the right side, sideways
2.. Second one is (in my setup) my main monitor in the center
3.. Third one is (in my setup) disabled on the left side.
  2. Add new display capture
  3. Switch between monitors to capture
  4. ???
  5. Profit

In my testing, just enabling/disabling the third monitor causes the bug.

Anything else we should know?

I'm assuming it's some edge case, because it worked before (i think the same version even), on previous version of the windows 10. Sadly before reinstalling i didn't check what specific version of Windows 10 i had before.

At first i thought i just change the cables (switch ports), but it worked only to a restart. I also tried to rearrange the display numbers, but it also only worked up until next reboot.

So i started testing, and when i enabled my third monitor -> OBS magically started working correctly. And i was able to trigger the bug, when i disabled that third monitor.

Research direction

Reproduce this on Windows 10 with three monitors, disabling the third monitor and switching Display Capture selections; review the provided OBS logs for the capture path involved. Done means OBS consistently captures the selected second monitor after the third monitor is disabled, including across restarts.
