Expected Behavior

When you play a short sound in a browser source, the beginning shouldn't be cut off.

Current Behavior

When you play a short sound (0:00 - 0:01) inside of a browser source, the beginning is cut off.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Play a very short alert sound inside a browser source using something like an alert box from StreamLabs or Twitch.
  2. ???
  3. Profit
    ...
Anything else we should know?

I assume some kind of sleep script has been implemented in the browser source. Add a setting to turn it off? I don't know. I just work here.

Research direction

Start with OBS Studio's browser source and reproduce the issue on Windows 11 using the described 0:00–0:01 alert sound. Review the provided OBS Studio log while testing; done means the beginning of a very short sound plays normally without being cut off.
