Expected Behavior

Using full projector window in full screen should have no stutter even if playing session is more than 30 minutes.

Current Behavior

I am using projector to full screen view the capture card of Nintendo Switch output
I have tried Elgato HD 60x and Avermedia Live gamer extreme 3 . Both have the same issue : in Full Screen projector preview after a random amount of time there are massive Frame stutters There is no lag but crazy stuttering .
I have tried all kind of workarounds : 30 fps limit , 60 fps limit , resolution limit . Change capture card , USB C cable , HDMI cable ... etc, set laptop to high power usage . Both capture card on latest macOS exhibit stuttering in Projector full screen preview in OBS . Is unusable. My laptop is brand new , MacBook 16 inch m4 Pro, CPU load is like 2% and there is no issue with overheating or high cpu load . Audio is perfect and delay is perfect . The stuttering are crazy frequent and they make the gameplay via OBS projector window unbearable .

Steps to Reproduce

1.start obs
2.select as source capture card device and select Elgato HD60x , 1080p, 60 fps , NV12 input format
3.start full screen projector .
4. after 1 hr aprox there is massive stutters in the projector full screen preview

Anything else we should know?

The issue is solved if I close and reopen OBS but after a random amount of time it happens again.
I tried 2 different capture cards : Avermedia Live gamer extreme 3 and Elgato hd60x and both have the same behavior.
I recorded a short video on OBS and the video captured and saved on the HDD doesn't have these stutters . I think is related to preview window in OBS , maybe something to do with openGL , or some kind of weird frame synchronization drift over time

Research direction

Start by reviewing the linked OBS log and reproduce the issue with an Elgato HD60x or Avermedia Live Gamer Extreme 3 in a full-screen projector after roughly an hour on macOS 15. Compare the projector preview with the saved recording, and consider the issue resolved when the preview no longer develops recurring stutters without restarting OBS.
