Expected Behavior

To display the webcam correctly.

In other software, discord (webcam stream), Amcap (or derivatives) and even windows camera app it displays correctly.

Current Behavior

When using a FLIR Boson Thermal Camera (USB UVC camera basically) with OBS it just shows one color, as if it picks one pixel and displays it on the whole frame.

changing the settings doesnt seem to change. 640x512 is the only reported resolution in all applications.
the camera outputs I420, NV12 and Y16. the first two can be selected in OBS.

Steps to Reproduce

1.connect "flir video" usb uvc device
2.add video capture and set it to this device
3.not work
...

Anything else we should know?

Research direction

Start by reviewing the linked OBS log and reproducing the issue on Windows 10 with the FLIR Boson USB UVC camera. Compare the I420, NV12, and Y16 modes reported by the device; done means OBS displays the camera frame correctly instead of stretching one pixel across it.
