Expected Behavior

Images involved in a slideshow should cross-fade between entries when the Transition:Fade option is chosen.

Current Behavior

Each image cuts to black and then fades in from black.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Create Image Slide Show source
  2. Set Transition to "Fade"
  3. Add images
Anything else we should know?

An older random slideshow source that I set months ago still crossfades properly. I do not want to touch it for fear it will break.
When I make a new slideshow that points to the folder of images used by that old slideshow, the new slideshow still does not work correctly, so it's not an issue with my choice of images.

Research direction

Start with the Image Slide Show source, selecting the Transition: Fade option and following the listed reproduction steps on Windows 11. Compare the new slideshow with the older working slideshow and consult the provided OBS Studio log. Done means consecutive images cross-fade directly without cutting to black.
