Expected Behavior

When I unlock the session, preview should show the desktop

Current Behavior

Preview shows lock screen is instead, fixed by restarting OBS

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Add PipeWire desktop capture
  2. Select "Full Workspace"
  3. Start recording
  4. Stop recording
  5. Lock the screen
  6. Be gone for 5+ minutes (might depend on sleep or monitor timer)
  7. Unlock the screen

Research direction

Start by reviewing the linked OBS log and reproducing the issue with PipeWire desktop capture set to Full Workspace on NixOS 24.11. Check what happens across recording, locking, the reported 5+ minute wait, and unlocking. Done means the preview shows the desktop after unlocking without restarting OBS.
