Moved from #386:

It would be useful to be able to adjust the vertical position of facet labels. The default vertical centring is not ideal in this example, we would like to align the label to the bottom of each facet:

Facet scales are band scales, so this is equivalent to having more control over where the tick is positioned for a band scale. Currently the tick is always drawn in the center of the band, but this could be made configurable.
