Description

The tip on the linearRegression mark is also a bit chaotic (#1835), since it points at invisible dots (the original data points). I don't see why someone would activate it on that mark, though, but an idea might be to display information about R2 (?). Though probably we should just drop the option? Doing nothing is probably fine too?

Research direction

Start by reviewing the current tip behavior on the linearRegression mark and how it handles the underlying invisible dots. The issue does not name files or tests; completion depends on deciding whether to remove the option, expose R2 information, or leave the behavior unchanged, then validating that agreed behavior.
