Description

Uberon term
'upper respiratory tract' (UBERON:0001557)
'mouth' (UBERON:0000165)

Suggested revision of logical definition
'upper respiratory tract' (UBERON:0001557) currently has the assertion "upper respiratory tract has-part some nose"

We would like to add "mouth part-of some upper respiratory tract," however if you want to remain consistent with the above pattern we wouldn't oppose having the inverse of this assertion added to 'upper respiratory tract'.

Research direction

Locate the ontology axioms for UBERON:0001557 (upper respiratory tract) and UBERON:0000165 (mouth), then compare the existing has-part some nose assertion with the repository's modeling convention. Add the agreed mouth/upper-respiratory-tract relation and run the ontology validation checks, confirming the resulting logical definition contains it.
