Description

Hi,

I understand that some non-English synonyms in UBERON are derived from older ontologies (see https://github.com/obophenotype/uberon/issues/209). I presume you may want to keep them for historical and referencing reasons. However, I wonder if keeping them (only) in the current format is ideal, e.g.

http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/UBERON_0011238
UBERON:0011238 mesethmoid bone
Synonyms: dermethmocïde@fr mésethmocïde@fr

Those synonyms are interpretable by a human, but probably not very helpful in text searches. If Uberon has an interest in providing non-English synonyms, perhaps consider adding "dermethmocïde" and "mésethmocïde" as exact synonyms?
There are several other occurrences of Uberon synonyms with "@"s.

Thanks,
Paola
