Description

@megbalk and I need to define a number of complex terms in UBERON, such as 'proximal-distal axis' and ('part of' some ('lateral side' and ('part of' some talus))) mentioned in #1608. We have run into problems in the past because we cannot have more than one level in an equivalency. I believe it was because of a limitation with OBO edit. We can work around the problem by first creating a term for lateral side of talus, but this is going to mean a lot more classes. Before we do so, I wanted to see if there were alternative suggestions.

Research direction

Start by reading #1608 and the discussion about OBO Edit's equivalency limitation. Compare the proposed workaround of creating a lateral side of talus class with the requested nested logical definition; done means an agreed alternative or decision on how UBERON should represent these terms.
