Feature value

I find navigating through a file headings to be very valuable for large org files. It would be great if when navigating to the parent heading via outline_up_heading set to g{ by default one could go back to the previous location via the jump list.

This could be also useful for the other heading navigation commands namely: org_next_visible_heading, org_previous_visible_heading, org_forward_heading_same_level, org_backward_heading_same_level. But since these all jump one heading at a time it is less of an issue.

Research direction

Start by locating the implementation of outline_up_heading, which is mapped to g{ by default, and inspect how heading navigation interacts with the jump list. Compare the related org_next_visible_heading, org_previous_visible_heading, org_forward_heading_same_level, and org_backward_heading_same_level commands. Done means navigating to a parent heading allows returning to the previous location through the jump list.
