Description

Does this feature exist in Emacs orgmode core?

Feature value

It would be convenient to have a repeating mechanism on workdays, skipping the weekend. The current workarounds is to change state to complete for the weekend, or have a task setup for every day that repeats in a week.

As far as I can see Emacs Orgmode doesn't support this.

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by tracing the existing task repetition and scheduling handling, then determine how recurrence on workdays should be represented and tested; done means repeated tasks skip Saturday and Sunday without manual state changes or separate daily tasks.
