Description

When you click on someone's webid, wherever you click on a link to them in the solid world, they will want you to see a profile display which does them credit and represents them well on the web. This is quite different from the private home screen which is covered in https://github.com/solid/node-solid-server/issues/889.
What sort of things?

  • Photo(s)

  • Customizable style, color, etc, background images, etc

  • Contact details which are public.

  • Statement like twitter profile

  • Timeline of public things posts, etc

Optionally a selection of:

  • Professional role, status, CVS a la linked in
  • My public folder
  • My public photos, music, video clips.
  • Publications, blogs, papers,
  • List of my public social graph (friends list)
  • etc

but also things which as a viewer

Interact to me:

  • Message me
  • mail me
  • Invite me to things.

If viewer not logged on, allow to log on.

If viewer logged on, possibly give more things, but pulling data from ACL's files like a friends-only timeline, indexes, etc.

Research direction

Start by reviewing issue 889 to separate the private home screen from this public-facing profile. The issue lists many optional profile, social, media, and interaction features but names no files or tests; scope and acceptance criteria need to be agreed before implementation can be considered done.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
