Description

Ragonese and Vitale, 2013

In the present contribution,
which recalls the Holt’s heading of a section in one of his reports presented at the Biarritz symposium in 1956,
the most common pitfall,
ambiguities and lack of consistency arising from the literature in the field were analysed and
a scheme of symbols usage was proposed in order to encourage fisheries scientists and bodies to move towards
the establishment of a common language and
better communication standards in assessments terminology.
