Description

Description of issue

nimi-bot currently consists of 5 VMs (1 Jenkins, 4 Agents) running on a decade old Dell server. It looks like the main bottle neck is the HDD which slows down significantly the tests every time the virtual environments need to be recreated.

Specs:

  • Dell PowerEdge T410
    • 2.4 GHz 2x6 CPU Xeon E5-2440
    • 24 GB memory
    • 1x 1GB network
    • 8 TB storage (~550 GB provisioned)
  • SW
    • Hypervisor - ESXi 6.7 standard
    • OS in VMs - Windows 10 1909

Research direction

The issue describes nimi-bot's five VMs, the Dell PowerEdge T410 host, ESXi 6.7, and Windows 10 1909. Start by reviewing the listed hardware and storage bottleneck; the issue provides no concrete implementation target or completion criterion, so the desired outcome must be clarified before work begins.
