Description

From the mailing list:

Hi all,
since the latest NGLess release is v0.8.1 and the latest documented version v0.5.1 https://ngless.readthedocs.io/en/latest/releases.html
https://ngless.readthedocs.io/en/latest/software.html
as far as I can see, can anyone tell me please, which versions of preliminaries I could use (e.g. Mocat) for my process.ngl?
Cheers,
Ulrike

For a new user, it's unclear which versions to use/import both for ngless the language and the different submodules.
We could provide a list-versions command or similar interface that would list all modules available/known to ngless.

Research direction

The issue does not name any files, tests, or entry points. Begin by locating the existing command or module-version handling, then define the interface and version information it should expose; done means a new user can query NGLess and its available modules and see which versions are usable.
