Description
The grouping and splitting training is using code duplication to clarify some concepts which could be simplified for a cleaner implementation. While it makes sense to leave this for teaching purposes, we can add a Rob-style challenge for students to try and simplify the implementation

Research direction
Start with the splitting and grouping training material and read the linked discussion in PR #595 to understand the proposed Rob-style challenge. Identify the duplicated implementation described there and add a student-facing challenge that asks learners to simplify it, while retaining the existing teaching explanation. Done means the challenge is clear and fits the training flow.
