Description

I think this is a good idea...

Any thoughts about not using LibreOffice as a conversion facility and replacing it with say a script? I have a script that runs nightly that converts a limited number of files from a specific directory to PDF then it converts the file(s) to PDF/a for retention purposes.

Research direction

Review the existing LibreOffice-based conversion flow and compare it with the proposed nightly script for files in a specific directory. First clarify the intended scope, supported inputs, and PDF/PDF-A requirements; done should be a documented decision or an approved implementation plan, since the issue currently asks for opinions rather than naming a concrete change.
