No incoming call notifications (no ring/popup) when starting a call from a Whiteboard conversation

Environment

• Nextcloud AIO v11.10.0
• Nextcloud Server 32.0.1
• Talk 22.0.1
• Whiteboard enabled
• Notify Push running and verified
• TURN/STUN configured (port 3478 TCP/UDP open, signaling reachable)
• Clients tested:
  • Web (Chrome / Edge latest)
  • Desktop v2.0.2 (Windows 11 Pro)

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a new Whiteboard in Nextcloud.
2. Click “Open conversation” inside the Whiteboard.
3. Share that conversation link with another user.
4. The other user joins and starts a call from that Whiteboard conversation.

Observed behavior

• The call connects correctly (audio/video works).
• No popup or ring sound on the callee side (browser, desktop, mobile).
• Chat messages in that same conversation do trigger notifications and sound.

Expected behavior

Incoming calls initiated from a Whiteboard conversation should trigger the same notification/ringing behavior as regular Talk rooms.

Additional info

• Calls started from a normal Talk room (outside Whiteboard) ring and notify correctly.

Start by tracing the Whiteboard “Open conversation” flow and compare incoming-call handling with a regular Talk room. Reproduce the call on the listed web and desktop clients, then verify that calls from Whiteboard conversations produce the same popup and ring behavior as regular Talk rooms.
