When using a public share as unidentified user / guest / user without account (but write-permissions) via public share link, it is not possible to create a new text file. This was possible before upgrade from version 30.0.5.

Server details:

  • PHP Version: 8.2

Research direction

No source file or test is named in the report. Reproduce the failure as an unidentified guest with write permissions on a public share using Nextcloud Text 31.0.2, then verify that creating a new text file works without weakening the share's access controls.
