Description

I have no complaint's about the tasks for the way I use them, but trying to "sell" the idea of using them to my wife is not going to happen unless their's a sort of form sheet notepad of paper thing going on.

For example, she is a Real Estate Agent. Theirs a huge number of things to do in order to have a sale go through properly and it's very difficult to manage what's been done already and on which transaction. I think the current Task system would do great except you can't copy a generic task list under a new name. The only thing that could make life better for her application would be to easily store links to corresponding documentation that showed evidence of the task item being completed; PDF's of contracts, etc.: JPEG/PNG's of checks, etc.

And, since it's proven (Freakonomics podcast covered the story) that simple checklists are the most valuable resource to keep Doctors from fucking up or pilots crashing planes, and so on... This template concept could be a real gem for a lot of businesses.

Research direction

The issue does not name files, tests, or an entry point. Start by reviewing the existing Task system and how task data is stored, then clarify the scope for copyable checklist templates, renamed task lists, and attached evidence before implementation; done should include an agreed template workflow and acceptance criteria.
