Description
When sharing a room link, e.g. in a calendar invite, mail or other chat I can simply copy&paste the address bar in the browser. This obviously doesn't work in the desktop client.
I find it quite complicated to first go to the "..."-menu, to settings and than search in the relatively large dialog for the link. I think for the desktop client it would be a huge improvement if the "..."-menu would directly contain a entry "room link"

Research direction
Start by tracing the desktop client's "..." room menu and the settings dialog where the room link is currently found. Add a direct "room link" entry that makes the current room address available for copying, then verify the menu and copied link behavior in the desktop client.
