Steps to reproduce

  1. On Nextcloud 34.0.2 packaged by Yunohost using desktop talk app v 2.2.4
  2. Send a message or two and get error "Could not post message: cancelled" App hangs cant do anything until force quit
  3. Web app works fine and is current workaround
Expected behaviour

Talk app works as the website
I've had no issues with Nextcloud Talk server and app until the most recent Nextcloud server update or the last two Nextcloud Talk app client updates because this only started happening after I updated both (server to v34.0.2 ynh) and talk app (v2.2.3 and v2.2.4)

Actual behaviour

Messages fail to send, and app hangs

Research direction

No source file or test is identified. Start by reproducing the failure on macOS with Talk desktop 2.2.4 and inspect the client console after sending messages; the diagnosis report and logs are currently absent. Done means messages send successfully without the β€œcancelled” error and the app remains responsive.
