Research direction
Start by reproducing the call on a Google Pixel 8 Pro with Android 15 and Talk 22.0.2, then investigate the reconnection behavior; the issue names no files or tests and includes no Android or server logs. Done means the call does not disconnect after waiting and the rejoining participant is not shown twice.
