Additional information

I'm using Nextcloud Talk App for the first time on android. There are no problems with push notifications.

The first screenshot is on mobile data, the second on wifi. Google Play Services never had so much battery usage before (normally <1%)

Research direction

No source files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reproducing the battery drain on the listed Pixel 6a and Android 15 setup with Wi-Fi disabled, then inspect Android and Firebase/Google Play Services diagnostics around Talk's push registration and network behavior. Done means identifying a reproducible app cause and adding a verified fix or a project-specific finding.
