Research direction

Start by reproducing the microphone streaming failure on the Huawei P8 Lite 2017 with Android 8 and Talk 17.1.0, then compare the behavior with Talk 17.0.2 and another Android 12 device. The issue provides no logs, files, tests, or entry points; done means other participants can hear the microphone audio on the affected configuration without regressing the working cases.
