Description

Manual https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/latest/user_manual/gl/talk/talk_basics.html#changing-view-in-a-call does not explain how the "follow" feature should work (does it automatically switch to larger view person that is currently speaking or something else?).

Was trying latest spreed v14.0.5 with HPB (with janus v1 from Debian 11) and couldn't enable automatic speaker switching with "follow" switch enabled/disabled in "Speaker view" mode so not sure if this should or shouldn't work this way.

Research direction

Read the linked Talk manual section on changing the view in a call and review the issue's description of the Follow switch in Speaker view. Clarify what Follow is intended to do, including whether it changes the larger participant automatically, and update that manual section so the behavior and completion criteria are explicit.
