It seems Talk uses the first name (or first word of the full name to be more technical) of someone's full name for the last message of a chat in the sidebar. It's not unlikely to have two people with the same first name and then it becomes ambiguous who sent the message.
^ I don't know but can only guess which of the Daniels in our company wrote this.
