Description

If I use my mobile hotspot as internet connection, Talk will use the maximal bandwidth available via my cellphone, which drains my 6GB really fast.

I would like to be able to rate-limit the transfer speed and set video and sound manually to low quality to save bandwidth

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating Talk's call media settings and bandwidth handling, then determine how manual audio/video quality and transfer-rate limits should be exposed. Done means mobile-hotspot users can select lower media quality and limit transfer speed without disrupting calls.
