Description

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When opening the sidebar for a shared file, it isn't clear to me whether a discussion exist or is going on for that file.

Describe the solution you'd like
Ideally, display the chat immediately, or at least the last messages. Not sure if this should be live or not.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Display a simple summary: "A discussion is ongoing, X messages so far, last message posted on TIMESTAMP".
This way it can help someone to decide to click the "Join the discussion" button.

Research direction

The issue points to the files sidebar and shared-file conversation view, but names no files or tests. First inspect the sidebar entry point and existing “Join the discussion” flow; done means an agreed design and an implemented, tested way to show conversation context.
