No

Describe the solution you'd like
When you collapse the left navigation panel, it would be useful to keep the avatar for the conversations so you can still change rooms without reopening the panel.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Not sure how it would apply

Research direction

No file or test is named. Start by locating the left navigation and its collapsed-state conversation switcher, then compare the current behavior with the Element Chat example linked in the issue. Done means conversation avatars remain available while the panel is collapsed and still let users change rooms without reopening it.
