Description
⚠️ This issue respects the following points: ⚠️
- This is a bug, not a question or a configuration/webserver/proxy issue.
- This issue is not already reported on Github OR Nextcloud Community Forum (I've searched it).
- Nextcloud Server is up to date. See Maintenance and Release Schedule for supported versions.
- I agree to follow Nextcloud's Code of Conduct.
Bug description
The form field to enter the username has a German placeholder "Anmelden", probably because the "login" (meaning the login name in this context) in English is the same term as "(to) log in".
But in German this is confusing, because "Anmelden" (a verb) is not a proper placeholder for a user name or login handle.
Steps to reproduce
- Try to login on a nextcloud system with German as app/system language (in the browser).
- Use the app password authentication method.
Expected behavior
I'd expect something like "Anmeldename" or "Username" or so as placeholder for the username but not "Anmelden" which is a verb.
