On narrow windows the sidebar hides content.

Apps
When you want to choose content you have to click the category and then on the three lines to close the sidebar.

Settings
When you choose category on settings the sidebar disappears at once.

Describe the solution you'd like
It's a little bit weird having different behaviors of the sidebar. I really would prefer the behavior of settings.

Research direction

The issue names the Apps and Settings sidebars but no files or tests. Start by locating the frontend entry points for both sidebar behaviors, then compare their narrow-window handling. Done means the sidebar behaves consistently on narrow displays, with the intended content remaining accessible.
