Description

Hello,

Currently login with WebAuthn requires typing your username.
It's not always convenient.

It would be nice to have an option to authenticate using a passkey without having to type your username.
Obviously, the passkey must require user verification/PIN to be used in such way.

Thanks!

Research direction

Start by tracing the existing WebAuthn login flow and how it currently obtains the username. Determine how passkey authentication can identify the account while requiring user verification or a PIN, then verify that login succeeds without username entry and remains protected by verification.
