Description

Is it possible to add "local" editing of a file that is shared from remote nextcloud that has no Collabora on its site?

Currently I only get the error that the remote Collabora instance could not be contacted, which is ok because there is none on the other nextcloud site. But as far as I understand the file is shared so it could be edited as if it was local?

Setup is local nextcloud 19 with local collabora CODE on second URL/container.
Remote is nextcloud with no Collabora (intended) that shares an office file to local nextcloud (nextcloud federated sharing).
Using other editor apps (draw.io / onlyoffice / ...) it is possible to edit shared files as if they were local.
Could this be added to Collabora too?

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are mentioned. Start by tracing how federated shared office files choose the Collabora endpoint and how other editor integrations handle local editing; done would mean a shared file from a remote Nextcloud without Collabora can be edited through the local Collabora setup.
