hello
I started the preview generator with about 30 users sharing a GROUP folder, resulting in indexing the group folder for every user, hence taking a LOT of time, ..
In the end I cancelled it, it seemd pointless..
so is it even possible to use this reasonably with group folders?
(which in my case contain photo folders with 10000+ imags)

Start by reproducing preview generation with about 30 users sharing a group folder containing many images, then trace why the folder is indexed for each user. Done means shared-folder contents are not needlessly processed once per user and preview generation completes reasonably for this setup.
