Description
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I would like the ability to browse my notes in a directory tree like structure so I could have notes in folders more than one deep. This would provide more flexibility as well as significantly increase compatibility with desktop or phone programs that edit notes and sync with NextCloud. It would also be less confusing when looking at a backup or dump or browsing the notes in a Files app or another file browser as it would have the same structure. And thirdly it could all be in one pane so it would note take up so much room on my screen
Describe the solution you'd like
It could be something like the Collectives apps notes browser.
Additional context
This is one of the main reasons I have been using collectives rather then Notes app but I have been trying to switch to Notes app so I could sync notes with my phone and desktop but not supporting notes in a more general hierarchical file structure has been one of the issues I have been running into.
Thanks for your consideration.

Research direction
No source files or tests are named. Start by reviewing the existing Notes browser and comparing it with the Collectives notes browser referenced in the issue. The work is done when notes support arbitrarily nested folders, display them in a single tree-like pane, and preserve the requested compatibility with synced notes and file browsers.
