Steps to reproduce
- Open a Note e.g. „Movies.txt“
- add / edit things
- Close the Note using the X in the right upper corner
- See how your „Movies.txt“ gets renamed to the first line inside your Note (you can see the rename inside your Notes folder on your Nextcloud instance)
Expected behaviour
Keep the original Filename and only overwrite the content.
(Mainly use an Android Phone and never had this issue before. )
Actual behaviour
It’s deleting the original Note file and creating a new one where the file itself will be named like the first line of your Note.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the rename using the listed steps in TestFlight app version 4.5.0(1) on iPadOS 26, then trace the note close/save flow in the Swift iOS app. Done means editing and closing an existing note preserves its original filename while saving the updated content.
