Description

My notes got wiped after I was opening them in Rich Text Mode... By wiped, I mean most or all text in them is immediately lost. This is a very dangerous bug that constitutes data loss. Please investigate.

I will be switching to markdown mode and preview mode for the future.

Server Version

  • Version: 26.0.1
  • Server App: 4.7.2
  • Android App: 4.0.0

Research direction

Start by reproducing the data loss when opening a note in Rich Text Mode, using the reported Nextcloud Notes server 26.0.1, Server App 4.7.2, and Android App 4.0.0 versions. Compare the note before and after switching modes and determine whether the text remains intact; the issue is resolved when switching modes no longer removes note content.
