Research direction

Start by locating the Config Tool entry point and how it currently exposes configuration items. Trace where TCP ports are defined and consumed, then determine the configuration and validation points that need to support custom values. Done means users can set custom TCP ports through the Config Tool and the resulting configuration is applied consistently.
