Description

Tried to run nc-scan for a path that contains a special UTF-8 character (ó, i.e. U+00F3).
Got a path not found: ... error as the char got simply stripped from the path.

Research direction

Start by locating the nc-scan entry point and reproduce the reported failure with a path containing ó (U+00F3). Trace how the path is passed and compare it with an ASCII path; done means nc-scan accepts the UTF-8 path instead of stripping the character and reporting it as missing.
