Find a solution to update while reach the bottom

Hi,
I love your app, thank you so much :)
I'm facing the following issue: when I reach the end of the list of unread news at the bottom, all the news are marked as "read". Which is the expected behaviour, I like it.
The problem is that:
1. The server is not updated right away (if I open the Web UI, some news are still marked as unread)
2. If I want to update and see if there are new "unread" news (that would have come up during the time I was reading the news), I have to go back to the top and slide down to trigger an update.

What I suggest:
1. Update the server as soon as I reach the bottom to mark the read news
2. If I have already reached the bottom, sliding up again should trigger an update and the popup message should appear "New items have been found. Reload?" (I'm not sure about the exact sentence for this popup message)
