Synchronization stops working after short time (Android 13, News 0.9.9.91) [refs #1453, #1448]

I am experiencing the same issue as described in #1453 and #1448. The News Android app stops synchronizing after a short time. Rebooting my device makes it work temporarily, but the problem returns.

**Device details**:
- Android version: 13
- News app version: 0.9.9.91 (from F-Droid)

**When the issue started**: Last week

**Troubleshooting steps tried**:
- Clearing cache
- Reinstalling the app
- Logging in with both Single Sign On and manual login

Switching to another news reader works and syncs properly, so this appears specific to the News Android app. Please investigate further, as this is affecting usability. See also: #1453 and #1448.
