Description
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
If I use many apps on one instance then my main directory in the files is full of folders that are used for the respective apps. With most apps you can define where this folder is located (e.g. in a subdirectory) or what this folder is called.
Describe the solution you'd like
That the function will be added to set itself the location and name of the directory of the app.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by locating how the app currently chooses its main directory, then determine the configuration and storage implications of allowing a custom location and name; done means both settings work without breaking existing app folders.
