Slow load after update [ver 0.1.5]

Description
I just updated to v 0.1.5 in hoping that it resolved my issue where no photos with location data appears on the map (no joy). After the update, the map loads incredibly slow. I did not have this problem before this update and previously the map loaded nearly instantly.
Has anyone else noticed this?
