Description

Actual behavior

I installed new version of nextcloud mail-app 1.8.0. and now :

I get new mails, but I can't see them in the new Dashboard widget 'Unread mails' (no sync).
(And now also not in widget 'important mail' - no more sync is done.)

I have to open mail app, only then new mails are read out and I receive the mails after a few seconds and as long as I do not read them they are now shown in the widget .

That can't be the intention to see unread messages in Dasboard widget only when I jump into mail app before and then jumping back to Dashboard widget !

Is it a bug ?

All latest version (Nectloud, mail-app , ... )

regards, Joe

Research direction

The issue mentions the Dashboard widgets and the mail app, but names no files, tests, or entry points. Reproduce the unread-mail widget behavior without opening the Mail app, then trace where widget data is refreshed. Done means new unread and important mail appear on the Dashboard without manually opening the app.
